Oklahoma Together: Class Valedictorian Gets A Big Senior Sendoff

Most high school seniors will not have the chance to physically walk for their diploma this month, but one mother of a Classen SAS senior still made her daughter's day special.

Katie Kahmann organized a parade of cars through her daughter's Midwest City neighborhood where friends and family were able to congratulate the class valedictorian.

"People realize what a special kid she is, so it really didn't take too much for people to come out," Katie Kahmann said.

Kahmann’s daughter, Julia, said she didn't expect a lot of people to show up but is grateful for the support.

Kahmann is going to OCU this fall and will major in clarinet performance.
