Police are searching for the driver in a deadly car crash.
It happened near Lake Overholser, when officers arrived they found the passenger dead but no one behind the wheel.
The accident took place around 5 a.m. Wednesday, and there were no witnesses.
And without a driver, police do not have a complete investigation so they're looking at the car for clues.
"It's been described as a black Honda, basically wrapped around a tree," OKC police Sgt. Paco Balderrama said.
An early morning passerby noticed the wrecked car and called police. The only problem was that the driver was gone.
"We don't know who the driver is and don't know where the driver went," Balderrama said. "We're trying to backtrack the information we can get, not only from the vehicle, inside the vehicle, inside the glove box."
David Case lives near the scene of the crash, but he didn't see or hear the accident. He did, however, see the aftermath.
"The passenger side of the car was completely crushed in and it looked like the driver could have been hurt too," Case said.
While police try to find the driver and determine the cause of the crash, Case said people drive on this two-lane curved road much faster than the posted speed limit.
"Slow down maybe a little bit, maybe if more cops come through here or something, where people get the clue it's time to slow down," Case said.
Police are not releasing any information about the passenger at this time.
