DEL CITY, Oklahoma -- A female suspect led police on a high-speed pursuit near Del City that ended in a Oklahoma City residential neighborhood.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol assisted Del City Police to perform a tactical vehicle intervention move on the suspect's SUV causing her to lose control at S.E. 46th Street and Durland Avenue in Oklahoma City.
Jackquline Jarvis was taken into custody and faces felony charges of eluding police, resisting arrest and reckless endangerment. More charges could be filed later.
Authorities said she ran because she had a suspended drivers license.
"It's just not smart to run. It's an offense they wouldn't go to jail for," said Oklahoma Highway Patrol Lt. Mark Reynolds.
Troopers said they are also investigating whether or not the SUV is connected to a recent trailer theft.
No one else was in the car except a dog. The dog was picked up by animal control.
