L.A. Lakers Make Appearance in Town for Thunder Game

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Lakers are in Oklahoma City up against the Thunder tonight. There's been some talk the Los Angeles NBA team is already in town. So where are the Lakers?

Several people have reported to NEWS 9 that Kobe Bryant was seen having lunch at the Quizno's in downtown Oklahoma City.

Lakers Arrive to OKC

A spokesperson at the Colcord Hotel said there was a group of fans walking around the area hoping to catch a glimpse of the NBA team on Thursday. The Colcord Hotel did not confirmed the team was staying there and does not release information on their guests due to privacy reasons.

According to the Lakers.com BasketBlog, the team was practicing in Oklahoma City Thursday as Coach Phil Jackson sheds some light on tonight's game plan.

Patient fans camped outside of the Colcord were met with a pleasant surprise as the Lakers' team bus rolled into the hotel Friday afternoon.

"I didn't get any autograph, but it was still cool to see the players though. It was cool to see them up close. I mean in a lot of the games you don't really get that close. It was still pretty cool I think," said Chris Tatsumi, Lakers fan who patiently waited outside the Colcord Hotel Friday.

The Lakers beat the Thunder in overtime in November with a close game 101-98. The Thunder take on the Lakers tonight at 7 p.m. at the Ford Center.
