UPDATE: OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police arrested a man accused of gunning down the manager of Lucky's Gentlemen's Club, a strip club in northwest Oklahoma City.
Police say around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, 22-year-old Jerael Burton became upset because he wasn't allowed inside the club at N.W. 10th Street and Portland. Investigators say that's when he pulled out a gun and started shooting.
Joel Rodriguez, 45, was shot once in the head. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died. Originally, there was confusion over whether Rodriguez was an employee or a patron of the club. Oklahoma City police said Thursday afternoon that Rodriguez was a manager at Lucky's.
The suspect took off, and police quickly launched a search. They even brought in police helicopter Air One and K9 dogs to help find Burton.
Witnesses provided a description of the suspect, and police soon caught up with Burton. Officers say when they tried to make contact with him he ran, but officers quickly caught and arrested him. They also recovered the weapon they say was used in the shooting.
Burton is now in the Oklahoma County Jail. He faces numerous charges, including first-degree murder.
