New, chilling details are surfacing about the Friday morning attack of two women in The Village that left one dead and one seriously injured.

Neighbors say Albert "AJ" Johnson had been living at the home with one of the women he attacked along with her 8-year-old daughter. But police found him where he used to hangout, and that's what got him caught.

Police found Johnson at the Hammond Manor apartment complex on NW 36th St. late Friday night.

"He was hanging around the apartment complex soliciting women for sex and a place to stay," said one neighbor, who asked to stay anonymous.

She is the woman who called police, and who says Johnson was "drunk, ramming into cars in the parking lot, and putting children at risk."

"He ended up hitting one of the vehicles in the parking lot," she said. "And me being scared for the children who live here in the complex, I called the cops."

She had no idea Johnson was wanted for raping and killing a woman in The Village earlier that morning. Village police worked late into the night recovering evidence in the brutal rape and murder.

The arrest warrant states when police arrived, they found that woman lying against a bedroom wall at a home on Lakeside Drive and there was blood smeared on the walls.

Johnson is also accused of raping and stabbing his girlfriend in the home. But she survived, and told police Johnson tied their hands behind their backs, beat them with household items, and then stabbed them with a knife and placed her in a bedroom closet: All while her 8-year-old daughter was home.

At one point the girlfriend lost consciousness, but when she came to, her daughter was able to cut the rope from her wrist and they were able to call 911 for help.

As it turns out, Johnson also stole one of the women's vans, which police recovered at the apartments in Bethany. Johnson was taken into the custody without incident, all thanks to that concerned resident.

"I feel better that he's behind there, because he can't hurt nobody else," she said.

Johnson has a lengthy criminal background and has spent time in prison for rape, robbery and kidnapping. He is being held without bond at the Oklahoma County jail and should be charged with rape and murder later this week.
