An Oklahoma City police officer accused of sexually assaulting several women while on duty is no longer behind bars.

Daniel Holtzclaw, 27, bonded out of jail Friday morning. He is on house arrest and will be until he goes to trial.

Holtzclaw is accused of using his badge to get sexual favors.

Eight women claim Holtzclaw fondled them or forced them to perform sex acts while on patrol in northeast Oklahoma City.

The District Attorney filed several criminal charges against Holtzclaw. The charges include allegations of sexual battery, indecent exposure, forced oral sex, rape, stalking, first-degree burglary for entering one victim's home, and intentionally touching a victim's body in a lewd and lascivious manner.

Due to the nature of the allegations against the officer, his bond was initially set at $5 million but prominent Oklahoma City defense attorney Scott Adams convinced the judge to reduce that amount to $500,000.

"It's important for Daniel to be out here and be able to help us assist in his defense," said Adams who escorted Holtzclaw from the Oklahoma County Jail to pick up his GPS monitoring device.

Strict limitations have been placed on where he can go, Holtzclaw is required to stay at his father's house in Enid.

He is only allowed to go to and from Scott Adam's office in downtown Oklahoma City.

Adams insists Holtzclaw is not a danger to the public.

"He denies he has done anything wrong and now it's time for us to start putting our case together," said Adams.

At least one of the alleged victims told us she is not happy about the conditional bond.

She wanted to remain anonymous but said this move is not fair to those he allegedly stalked.

The alleged victim gives more of her reaction to Holtzclaw's release coming up on News 9 at 10.
