Some Oklahoma City residents are without a home, Sunday night, after a fire broke out at an apartment complex on the northwest side of the metro.
Firefighters were called out to the Chevy Chase apartment complex, located at 6401 N. Warren Ave., just before 5 p.m.
Once on scene, crews reported seeing flames and plumes of black smoke shooting from the roof of a two-story apartment building. The fire started in one unit and then spread to a second and into the attic.
Crews were able to get a handle on the fire quickly. Two apartments suffered fire damage and a third had smoke and water damage.
Investigators determined that the fire was caused by an electric bathroom fan. The fire caused approximately $120,000 in damage to the building.
