Thankfully no tornadoes were reported in Tuesday night's storms, but high winds and hail made a mark in the metro. Some were left with damage which meant more clean up Wednesday.
The hum of sewing machines still filled Rainbow Pennant Wednesday morning despite the hole in the ceiling and buckets collecting water.
“Part of the roof that's laying on the power lines. We are kind surprised we have power,” said Rainbow Pennant office manager John Mulford.
The strong winds gusting through the metro ripped off the roof and threw air conditioning units on the street below. When Mulford learned of the damage Wednesday morning, he thought it was an April Fool's Day prank.
"Half the roof is gone. And of course I didn't believe him until he sent me pictures of what you see here," he said.
Before employees could start making flags, they had to push out water that flooded some of the rooms.
“Luckily our machinery it seems like it missed most of our machinery," said Mulford.
Fans were also brought in to dry things out.
“We're working hard to keep production as usual,” he said.
Mulford estimates the damage to be around $150,000.
