Oklahoma City police are looking for two people accused of shoplifting from a Wal-Mart store, and then pepper-spraying and assaulting employees in an attempt to get away.
According to police, the incident happened at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1 at Wal-Mart, located at 1801 Belle Isle. Two loss prevention employees told police that they saw the suspects conceal unpaid merchandise in the automotive section. They believe some car fuses and a trailer hitch, worth about $25, were concealed. The trailer hitch was later recovered.
Both employees approached the suspects at the entrance. That’s when one suspect pepper-sprayed the employees in the face and upper body. The other suspect then pulled out the trailer hitch he was concealing and hit one employee in the arm and the other employee in the hand.
The two suspects then ran away from the store and got into a white, 4-door car driven by a female. The car then left the scene.
On Friday, December 18, police released surveillance photos taken of the suspects. If you recognize these two or have any information, call Crime Stoppers at (405)-235-7300.
