Former Marble City schools superintendent Larry Couch faces federal accusations of theft and bribery. Couch is already charged in state court with embezzling.
The federal investigation focuses on a bank account Couch set up for an education lobbying group. Couch is accused of using that account to pay for personal expenses.
Couch was suspended without pay after he admitted to stealing $100,000 dollars from the Marble City district in December.
School board members said they want the entire situation behind them.
"We got a lot of good kids, and they get an excellent education," said Mary Cooksey, Marble City School Board member. "We got a lot of good teachers and I don't see any reason that they can't move forward."
