Well if you're reading this - then chances are you've discovered the new Bricktown Studios page. Be sure and check out all the new stuff added to the page this week and each and every week. In addition to a playback of all interviews from the last few Friday morning, we also give a video and text preview of the Friday ahead.
Speaking of Fridays ahead, as in this Friday, we are scheduled to visit with the wonderful people who work behind the scenes with the Special Olympics. It's almost time for their big fundraiser and butt-freezing event called "The Polar Plunge". It's when a bunch of cold volunteers jump into a even colder pool of water at the Bricktown Bass Pro parking lot. On the list of jumpers each year is a large number of Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers - and your's truly. I've been asked to jump now for the third year in a row. However this year I am set to take my plunge a step further by jumping for pledges. In the past, I've jumped to show my support. But this year I'm jumping in hopes I can bring more financial support to this needy cause.
Starting this Friday, you'll have a chance to make a pledge on my behalf. It will be as simple as logging on to www.news9.com and the new Bricktown Studios page and clicking on The Polar Plunge icon. Details to come on this Friday's show on how much I hope to raise.
Also, a big reminder how you can upload your Bricktown pics and videos right here on the Bricktown Studios page. Next time you're out and about the Brick, capture and load it for all to see.
Have a great week .. and we'll see you from Bricktown on Friday.
