Seasonally hot and dry conditions will continue on Monday, as daytime highs soar into the middle 90s statewide with 100s possible across western Oklahoma.
A weak cold front sagging south and east across the nation's midsection will be close enough in proximity to northwest Oklahoma Monday night to spark a few thunderstorms. Due to the slow moving nature of this front, isolated showers and storms will remain in the forecast through Thursday for the entire state, along with slightly cooler temperatures; it will still feel warm, however. Hot conditions and sunny skies will return by Friday and prevail through next weekend.
