Operation Boot Camp, Month 2 - Day 3
So much for my eating plan. Yesterday I wrote that I planned to eat the bulk of my protein in the morning, but that didn't happen today. We were off of boot camp this morning so I slept in. I woke up around 5 a.m. without an alarm, but I decided to be lazy and sleep a little while longer. I must have just zonked completely out because I woke up at 8:30. I'm supposed to be at work by 9. There was no time to mess with scrambling eggs, so I poured a quick bowl of cereal and ate that while I rushed to get ready for work.
While we get a break from boot camp today, we still must do a homework exercise plus the core workout. I'm choosing to do the homework #4 - 100 squats and 50 push-ups.
About the push-ups...we did a lot of push-ups last month, and I suspect we'll do even more this month. At first glance the most obvious improvement due to the push-ups has been the toning in my arms. I have the slightest bit of "cut" in both my biceps and triceps. That's great, and I'm excited. But there's another big bonus that I assume is from the push-ups...I'm loosing "back fat." You know that bit of fat that hangs over if your brassiere is too tight? I had that a month ago. Not it's almost all gone. I'm sure it's a combination of general fat loss and the push-ups. Also, I was in the early stages of what I call old-lady cellulite on my arms. Thankfully, it looks like I nipped that in the bud.
