OWASSO, Oklahoma -- An Owasso High School music teacher, charged Tuesday with sexual battery of a student, is out of jail on bond Wednesday.
Doug Woolery was booked into the Tulsa County Jail Tuesday night.
The 39-year-old was the director of the Owasso High School Performing Arts Center and taught choir.
Owasso Police said Woolery inappropriately touched a 17-year-old boy while on a choir trip to Oklahoma City, and again a week later during a trip in Tulsa.
The student told his parents, who called the school. Records show Woolery admitted to the crime.
Woolery has been suspended by the school district.
