One typically thinks of spring during the month of March, not the chill of winter. After a very warm start to the work week, winter's cold will arrive in Oklahoma by Wednesday. Arctic air pooling across Canada will begin to ooze southward into the Northern Plains Monday. An upper-level storm system delivering a glancing blow to the state Tuesday will do little for our chance of rain, but it will open the door for the cold, Canadian air. Wednesday's and Thursday's morning lows will bottom out in the 20s and 30s, while daytime highs will only reach the 40s.
Wednesday and Thursday will boast an opportunity for rain showers, especially across southern Oklahoma. The rain may briefly mix with snow showers Wednesday night across the state.
