OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Department arrested a man after he nearly hit a sheriff's deputy while on his way to pick up his daughter from day care Thursday.
The deputy said he was driving on the Kilpatrick Turnpike near Highway 66 when Terry Wiggins swerved into the deputy's lane nearly hitting him.
The deputy then attempted to pull Wiggins over, but he continued to drive for nearly seven miles swerving in and out of oncoming traffic and forcing several vehicles off the road.
When Wiggins finally came to a stop, he told the deputy he was on his way to pick up his daughter from day care.
Authorities found and empty whiskey bottle in Wiggins' vehicle.
