OKLAHOMA CITY -- Flood victims along Lightning Creek have spent the past week trying to salvage what they can out of their homes. City crews will begin hauling off what can't be saved Thursday, July 15.

Residents need to separate debris into three piles and place items within 10 feet of the curb.

Destroyed property like carpet, drapes, furniture and electronics should be put in one pile. Other items including refrigerators and things containing Freon should be put in a separate pile and separate household hazard waste containing chemicals in a third pile.

Residents who do live in a flood ravaged neighborhood are asked to avoid parking in the street.
