HARRAH, Oklahoma -- A Harrah man wanted for a violent carjacking on July 8 is now in custody.
Several law enforcement agencies spent Friday night chasing David Johnson, who was on the run in rural areas of western Pottawatomie County.
Harrah police said Johnson walked up to mobile home Saturday afternoon and told the homeowners he had escaped from police and wanted them to hide him. Instead, they stalled Johnson until officers arrived.
Johnson is being held in the Pottawatomie County jail for domestic assault and first-degree robbery.
More charges against him are pending.
