OKLAHOMA CITY -- U.S. Marshals have arrested a man charged in a gun smuggling case involving a former Oklahoma drug agent.
Members of the Metro Fugitive Task Force arrested Jorge Blanco early Thursday morning in Stillwater. According to court documents, Blanco helped former Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics Agent Frank Reyes smuggle guns into Mexico.
Investigators said Reyes headed up the smuggling operation in Oklahoma and found people like Blanco to help him buy the guns.
Wednesday, a federal grand jury returned an indictment against Blanco and another man, Gregorio Morales-Martinez, charging them with conspiracy to illegally purchase 43 firearms.
