OKLAHOMA CITY – An arrest has been made in connection to a man who was found shot six times near the Kilpatrick Turnpike Monday afternoon.
According to police, 33-year-old Refugio Gonzalez was taken into police custody Monday night in connection to shooting 29-year-old Raul Garcia.
An off-duty Oklahoma City police officer found Garcia covered in blood walking along Highway 66 near the Kilpatrick Turnpike Monday at about 4 p.m.
Gonzalez was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. at a southwest Oklahoma City apartment without incident. He now faces a shooting with intent to kill charge.
Monday night Garcia was downgraded to critical condition and was possibly going to have surgery.
It is unclear what led to the shooting.
