OKLAHOMA CITY -- A spokesperson for Will Rogers World Airport said key taxiways and one runway are clear, and flights have resumed despite the snowstorm.
The first commercial flight of the day arrived at 9:15 a.m. and departed around 9:45 a.m. More flights are expected to arrive all morning, and the airport expected the commercial flight schedule to return to normal by early afternoon. The airport suggested travelers call their airline before leaving for the airport to make sure their flights were on time.
Airport maintenance crews worked all night to keep the airport open. Spokesperson Karen Carney said this storm afforded them higher visibility and dryer snow, which made it easier to clear runways. Roadways and parking lots at the airport are also reportedly in fair to good condition.
