WARR ACRES, Oklahoma -- A robber strikes a metro pharmacy not once, but three times in less than a month.

Officers say the brazen criminal is becoming a familiar face and an unwelcome presence at a Walgreen's in Warr Acres.

Police are still looking for the man. News 9 is told he first robbed the Walgreen's located at 5901 NW 39th Expressway, on June 9, only to return one week later.

His most recent visit was on Sunday, July 3. Surveillance video captured the robber who is apparently becoming a regular.

"It's not common for someone to rob a certain place three different times within a month," said Sgt. John Gray.

Police say each time the man robs the drug store, it's the same routine. The suspect will head directly for the pharmacy, show a gun and demand drugs.

"I worked with alcoholics and drug addicts for 20 years, so I know they'll do anything to get money to buy drugs," said Walgreen's customer June McGuire.

McGuire says the robberies make her a bit nervous and she's not alone.

"I wouldn't want to come up here at night by myself," said customer Elaine Ellard. "I'm shocked they keep coming back to the same one and nobody has caught them."

No one was injured in any of robberies, but police are not taking any chances. They say they have stepped up patrols in the area.

"We've got a description of him," said Gray. "We've got him on camera, but that's about all we know. I think it's safe to assume that he's going to do it again.

News 9 contacted Walgreen's on Tuesday, but no one we spoke with from the company would go on camera.

Police would like the public's help. If you recognize the suspect, described as a white man, 25 - 30 years old, standing 5'10" and weighing 190 lbs., call Warr Acres Police at 405-789-3329

According to CBS News, there have been more than 2,800 drug store robberies across the country since 2006. That's an 80 percent increase over the last five years.
