NORMAN, Oklahoma – This year's Meet The Sooners day festivities have been moved from the practice fields to under the grandstands of the Gaylord Family- Oklahoma Memorial Stadium because of the excessive heat that continues across the state.
The event will take place at its scheduled time this Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Fans are encouraged to hydrate well before the event and patrons will be permitted to bring water into the event and water also will be on sale inside and outside the stadium during the event.
Meet the Sooners is open to children ages 14 and younger and each child may be accompanied by a maximum of one adult.
The line for the general public will form at gate five beginning at 7 a.m. while the Sooner Kids Club members begin entering the stadium through gate seven and 7 a.m. Sooner Kids Club members must check in at the kids club table to receive a membership package. They will then move to the lines under the stadium.

The offense and assistant coaches will be on the east of the stadium, while the defense, special teams and head coach Bob Stoops will be located on the west side.
To facilitate faster movement in the lines and to create more space under the stadium, the only players available this year will be those who have played in at least one game at OU. The coaching staff also will be available.
Concessions stands will not be open but restroom facilities will be available.
Parking is available in university lots.
