MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -- Its finally time to hit people in different-colored jerseys, with Midwest City hosting Mustang, Muskogee and Union in a four-team scrimmage Thursday.
Some of the players may have been a bit rusty, but the coaches liked most of what they saw.
"The one thing we look for this early in the year is effort and our kids had great effort tonight," Midwest City coach Randy Huff said. "Didn't tackle exceptionally well, I don't think we set our blocks exceptionally well, but I do think our kids put out great effort tonight."
With all four squads competing across the four districts in 6A, this will be the final meeting this season until the playoffs.
