Two new holiday attractions can help keep your family busy this holiday season.
A new outdoor skating rink opened on Friday in Midwest City. The rink is not like traditional ones, because it isn't actually made of ice. Instead, you skate on a synthetic substance that's "ice-like."
The rink is located at the Town Center Plaza and is open until January 8. The costs to the rink range from $6 for adults, $5 for military, $3 for children five and under, and $3 if you bring your own skates.
Saturday is the opening day for the "Norman Outdoor Holiday Ice Rink". It's sponsored by Marc Heitz Chevrolet who said the proceeds go to the "Food for Kids" program at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
The rink is located at 1221 Ed Noble Parkway off Interstate 35 and is open until January 3. The cost to the rink is $8 if you need to rent skates, and $5 if you bring your own skates.
