Oklahoma City leaders are considering changing a 31-year-old ordinance.
Currently, people can legally sell event tickets for 50 cents over face value. Anything over that amount is illegal and the seller is subject to city fines. However, city council members discussed changing the ordinance Tuesday morning.
The proposed ordinance would increase the limit to $20 over face value. The new amount would cover the ticket buyer's credit card fee, mailing fee, and facility fee.
A public hearing will be held March 6 and city council will vote on the ordinance March 13.
