Flames ripped through a house Friday morning in Edmond, leaving nothing but scorched walls and burned debris.
The fire started around 5:30 a.m. near Sorghum Road and MacArthur. Firefighters rushed to the home, but it took about an hour to knock out the fire. The flames were so intense the roof collapsed and the home was destroyed.
Fortunately, the house was unoccupied and no one was hurt. MacArthur was shut down for about three hours while crews battled the flames and put out hot spots.
Investigators are trying to determine how the fire started.
