Suspect Pretends To Be Patient, Hides In Tulsa Hospital

The 30-year-old driver of stolen car was located in a Tulsa hospital's lobby, dressed in a hospital gown and in a wheelchair being pushed by a nurse Tuesday evening. That after officers found the stolen car abandoned in the hospital's parking lot on the third floor.

Tulsa Police say the car was reported stolen from the 8000 block of East 61st Street.

An officer spotted the car at a gas station at Yale and 61st Street. When the officer tried to stop the car, the driver, identified as Lecurtis Joyce took off at a high rate of speed.

Tulsa Police say car was last seen driving into St. John Medical Center's parking garage.

Joyce was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of eluding and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Bond is set at $18,000. Joyce's next court hearing is May 23, 2012.
