Political Operatives are now trying to measure the impact Isaac will have on the Republican National Convention
Day one was postponed, but the remaining three days of the convention have to split time with storm coverage on the national airways. News 9 spoke to a Political Science professor who thinks Romney will not see a big bounce from the convention for a couple of reasons.
First, if Isaac continues to linger and prove dangerous it will take away from the message being delivered.
Many speakers in Tampa have reminded delegates of Isaac's devastation at the beginning of their speech.
Another reason for a limited convention bounce is the Democratic National Convention, which beginnings next week.
"Typically you get that week or two where you can bask in the glow of hopefully a well run convention and you are not going to get that this time," says Dr. Richard Johnson of Oklahoma City University
Dr. Johnson says if Isaac proves really destructive and the clean-up lasts for a while, Isaac could possibly drown out the message being delivered at the Democratic Convention.
