The Big 12 Conference announced on Monday that the Oklahoma Sooners' football game at Texas Tech on Oct. 6 is scheduled to kick off at 2:30 p.m. in Lubbock, Texas.
The Sooners' Big 12 road opener will be broadcast by either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. The network designation for the game will be announced at a later date.
Oklahoma holds a 13-6 all-time series advantage against Texas Tech but the recent history of the series has swung the way of the Red Raiders. Tech upset then-No. 3 OU 41-38 in Norman last season and the Sooners haven't won in Lubbock since 2003, having lost the past three trips 41-13 in '09, 34-27 in '07 and 23-21 in '05.
Oklahoma is currently No. 16 in the latest AP poll and is No. 15 in the most recent USA Today Coaches' Poll coming off a 24-19 home loss to Kansas State on Saturday. OU has a bye this Saturday, while Texas Tech opens Big 12 play at Iowa State.
