According to an arrest warrant, Davis was standing near a car when Allen and O'Neill approached him. One of them pulled out a revolver, pointed it at Davis and demanded money.

Witnesses said Davis grabbed the gun and struggled with the two men. During the struggle, Davis was shot in the upper thigh. The bullet struck his femoral artery. He's still in the hospital.

Witnesses said the suspects hopped into a green car driven by a woman. The two men were later identified as Allen and O'Neill.

Allen was arrested on two complaints; shooting with intent to kill and robbery with a firearm.

Davis' family says one of the suspect's was actually a friend of the family.
