Midwest City Issues Burn Ban

Midwest City is the latest metro city to issue a burn ban.

Oklahoma City and Edmond issued burn bans on Tuesday. Guthrie has been in one since January 15. Officials in 11 Oklahoma counties also have bans in effect.

The burn ban prohibits all outdoor burning except for cooking in gas and charcoal grills and in smokers. Countywide burn bans are in place for Blaine, Canadian, Cotton, Grady, Jefferson, Latimer, McIntosh, Payne, Pittsburg, Stephens and Tillman counties.
