The Edmonton Oilers have re-assigned goaltender Tyler Bunz to the AHL's Oklahoma City Barons. In a separate transaction, the Barons have returned goaltender Chet Pickard on loan to the ECHL's Bakersfield Condors and recalled forward Austin Fyten from loan with the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads.
Bunz has appeared in four games for the Barons this season with a 1-1-1 record. Bunz had a 3.14 goals against average and a .914 save percentage. His season-high 34 saves came against the San Antonio Rampage on Nov. 12.
Pickard was signed to an AHL contract by the Barons in early November. He appeared in five games for the team, registering a 1-1-0-0 record. He made a season-high 33 saves against the San Antonio Rampage on January 3. He posted a 3.80 goals against average and .985 save percentage.
Fyten, a 6-2, 200-pounder from Sundre, Alberta, signed with the Barons last summer. Fyten has appeared in 15 games, registering four points with the Barons this season. He was recalled from loan on December 28. With the Steelheads, Fyten has played in eight games, scoring 10 points (5-5-10).
