The U.S. Geological Survey reported four earthquakes near Guthrie and Edmond Friday afternoon.
The four earthquake magnitudes ranged from 2.7 to 2.9 throughout Logan and Oklahoma counties.
The first earthquake was recorded around 11:43 a.m. Friday morning three miles southwest of Guthrie, 24 miles north of Oklahoma City. The magnitude was 2.7, and the depth was reported just over three miles deep.
Just about three hours later, at 2:46 p.m., the U.S.G.S. reported a 2.9 magnitude earthquake six miles north of Edmond, nine miles southwest of Guthrie. The depth was reported over a mile deep.
The third earthquake was logged at 3:51 p.m. seven miles northeast of Edmond, eight miles south of Guthrie. This tremor was a 2.8 magnitude and had a depth at three miles.
U.S.G.S. documented the last in this series of earthquakes at 5:05 p.m. six miles southwest of Guthrie, eight miles north of Edmond. The report stated this quake had a magnitude of 2.7 and a depth of over three miles.
