A woman was arrested after she reportedly used a stolen credit card number at the Oklahoma County Jail to buy items for an inmate.
According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s office, deputies were contacted about unauthorized charges on a credit card. During the investigation, a detective found out that there were several unauthorized charges to the card, including one that had been made at an automated system at the Oklahoma County Jail on July 9.
Authorities were able to identify the suspect as 41-year-old Lisa Simpson through photos taken at the jail, as well as personal information Simpson put in the automated system.
Simpson reportedly returned to the jail on Wednesday, July 23 to pick up items belonging to the inmate. When investigators confronted her, she admitted to writing down the victim’s credit card number while she was cleaning the victim’s house, according to the Sheriff’s office.
Simpson was arrested on several complaints, including possession of a credit card belonging to another person and illegal use of a computer network. She is currently being held on $8,000 bond.
