An exclusive News 9 poll shows Republican Steve Russell leads Democrat Al McAffrey in Oklahoma's 5th District U.S. Representative seat, which includes Oklahoma City.
The poll indicates 52.3 percent of likely voters would choose Russell and 29.9 percent would pick McAffrey, if the election were held today.
The poll included Independent candidates Robert Murphy (2.1 percent) and Buddy Ray (1.7 percent). About 14 percent of voters are still undecided.
Russell and McAffrey won their party's nomination after defeating opponents in last month's runoff election.
The winner of the November 4 election will replace Congressman James Lankford, who is running for retiring Sen. Tom Coburn's seat.
