USGS: Earthquake Shakes In Noble County

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported an earthquake in Noble County Tuesday afternoon.

The 3.5 magnitude quake shook the area 12 miles west, northwest of Perry and 21 miles east of Enid at 3:25 p.m., according to the USGS.

The earthquake was nearly two miles deep.

There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.

According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
