A 3.1 magnitude earthquake was reported Saturday at 7:58 p.m by the United States Geological Survey.
The earthquake was more than three miles deep, the USGS said.
The quake shook the area seven miles south of Guthrie and nine miles north, northeast of Edmond.
So far, there are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
