For the first time since 1999, the Oklahoma State baseball team is headed back to the College World Series, but the Cowboys will face a unique opponent when they get things going on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.

OSU will take on first-timers UC Santa Barbara in the opening game of the CWS, and the Gauchos will be riding the euphoria of their unlikely road to Omaha after downing Louisville 4-3 on Sunday to win the Super Regional in two games.
Not only did the Gauchos pick up the epic win, but they did it in fashion.
With one out in the bottom of the ninth inning and his team trailing 3-0, third string catcher Sam Cohen stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded. The freshman, who only had 26 at bats the entire season, used a pure swing to get ahold of the ball and crank a walk-off grand slam over the right field wall.

A walk-off GRAND SLAM to go to Omaha by UC Santa Barbara's Sam Cohen! #CWShttps://t.co/avSzj06I9t
Not only was it an epic walk-off hit, but it came against Louisville’s Zack Burdi, who’s considered one of the best closers in the nation and was drafted in the first round by the Chicago White Sox in last week’s draft. Burdi had only allowed one homer in 19 games this season, while Louisville had only lost one game at home coming into the Super Regional.

Safe to say the Gauchos aren’t afraid of a big moment, and they’ll run into the biggest moment in their program’s history on Saturday when they take on the Cowboys inside of TD Ameritrade Park.
