Police Identify Man Found Shot, Killed At OKC Apartment

Police are investigating a shooting after a man was found dead at the Putnam Green Apartments in northwest Oklahoma City early Thursday.

Police say they were notified several times after neighbors said they heard what they thought were fireworks. 

When officers arrived, they found 23-year-old Alex Benitez, lying in a breezeway of the second story of Putnam Green Apartments, 7525 Knight Lake Dr., and several people say they saw two men running away.

Police say Benitez was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is still underway.
