Law enforcement agencies are giving a lot of credit to the vigilance of communities throughout the manhunt for murder suspect Michael Vance. They've spent the past week chasing down leads.
On Sunday, investigators finally got to the tip they were looking for in Hammon. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) said they received a picture of the silver Mitsubishi Eclipse Vance was last known to be driving from a tipster Sunday afternoon just outside of Hammon.

Law enforcement said the public was extremely helpful in finding Vance and identifying the silver Eclipse. OHP Troopers said the car was discovered by a landowner or hunter north of town covered in brush.
Troopers said Vance had taken off in the car before they arrived, but they did find a campsite. We know Vance stole a flatbed truck some time after taking off from the site.
Vance was killed after getting into a gunfight with OHP troopers.
