An Oklahoma City woman living in fear, tells police she is being harassed by her ex-boyfriend and that she never knows where or when he will show up.

She even filed a protective order this summer, but it has not kept him away.

Right now, that ex-boyfriend is being held here at the Oklahoma County jail on a $25,000 bond. As it turns out he has been arrested 10 times in the last five months for not only stalking his ex-girlfriend, but violating a VPO and even breaking into her home.

Darin Rohrer, 45, has been booked into the Oklahoma County Jail a number of times over the past months.

His ex-girlfriend tells News 9 he used to be a successful attorney, but she says alcoholism destroyed the man she once loved.

She texted "Recently his behaviors have been erratic due to drinking mouthwash and whatever he can get his hands on."

She went on to write, "He is not a violent person, but when intoxicated is very unstable. He once shot a gun in the ceiling of my house."

“It’s creepy, it’s scary,” neighbor Ashleigh Landrith told News 9.

Landrith lives right next door to the victim and says she's seen Rhorer walking up the sidewalk to the house on multiple occasions. She says once she even noticed him wiggling the window and wondering what he was doing.

“And I noticed that he got in he was in there for five minutes and then came out the front door and locked it like nothing happened,” said Landrith.

According to a police report filed this week, Rhorer was arrested yet again. It states his ex-girlfriend came home from work on Monday, pulled into her driveway, and found him sitting on the front porch. Police were called, and Rhorer went to jail.

“He needs to stay in jail. He needs to quit the drinking and get his life together and just stay away from her,” Landrith said.

The victim text News 9, saying she has even had to be hospitalized for ulcers because of all the stress. She is hoping the new legislation that was just passed to help non-violent offenders, like her boyfriend, will help them get the treatment they need.
