It's been more than a month since the major 5.0 earthquake in Cushing, and residents are still dealing with the damage.

Thursday, many people met to talk about suing energy companies, they say, are responsible.

“My house was totally destroyed,” said Cushing resident Louie Watkins.

Louie's home was just blocks from the epicenter of last month’s 5.0 magnitude quake. It caused major damage to buildings, water pipes and power lines.

“This thing hit behind me and it raised up, my floor raised up about two foot. Now it sounds impossible but I am not a liar. That’s exactly what happened,” said Watkins.

He was just one of dozens of those listening to class action lawyers hoping to mount strength through numbers against some of the state's largest energy companies.

Not everyone in the room was convinced though. Many had questions about how they could stay anonymous and even more had worries about retaliation from the energy companies, not wanting to bite the hands that feed.

But in the end, folks like Louie say they just want someone to be held accountable and they want the earthquakes to stop.
