Oklahoma State forward Jeffrey Carroll is suspended indefinitely and will miss the season opener against Pepperdine on Friday night. He will continue to practice with the team but will be withheld from play pending the ongoing review of the men's basketball program.

Carroll is a preseason All-Big 12 selection after last year’s breakout campaign when he averaged 17.5 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. He had the fourth-best 3-point shooting season by a Cowboy player going 59-for-133 – 44 percent – from deep.

The Cowboys will start Kendall Smith, Lindy Waters III, Cameron McGriff and Mitchell Solomon with either Tavarius Shine or Brandon Averette  replacing Carroll. Tip is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT.
