Heat is building as Oklahoma begins the holiday week ahead.
A heat dome locks into place midweek which will minimize rain and storm chances for most.
Monday morning temperatures start out in the low 70s with haze and fog possible.
Overall it is a partly to mostly sunny day with highs in the low 90s, that will feel like near 100.
Tuesday will be hotter with highs pushing the upper 90s, and heat index values easily in the low 100s late day. Mostly sunny and dry.
For Independence Day the trend continues with highs near 95, mostly sunny. Remember to stay hydrated and put on sunscreen for any outdoor plans.
This weekend the pattern will change with a frontal system arriving. The heat dome will move west of Oklahoma with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s, making it less hot with storm chances.
