A Texas mother has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for the attempted sex trafficking of her 2-year-old daughter.
Sarah Peters, 25 pleaded guilty to the felony offenses of sexual performance of a child, attempted human trafficking and promotion of prostitution of a child.
An undercover detective said Peters offered to sell her toddler for sex. Officers said she then brought her daughter to the agreed upon place at the agreed upon time for the purpose of allowing an adult man to engage in sex acts with the girl for a fee of $1,200.
When Peters arrived she was arrested and charged, according to authorities. Her daughter was taken to a safe location, police said.
