Police are investigating threats made by a middle school student in Weatherford.
It was all caught on camera.
Over the weekend, two students supposedly got into a fight at a park. The words spoken after the fact - were caught on camera.
Once the video reached the hands of Weatherford Police, they began to investigate.
Officials say they think it's possible that the loser of the fight was just upset and threatened the other kid.
Weatherford Public Schools released a statement saying in part, it has been confirmed by the police department that there is no violence at the middle school or the middle school body.
As for one parent whose child was involved, she says this was taken too far.
“He said that when they were at the park and had that confrontation, he had two very large knives, and my son said they were probably about this big. So at that point, I knew I had to go to the police. And make sure the school was aware of the situation,” said Kimberly Wallace, mother of a middle school student.
The student in the video also sent a Snapchat of himself holding a gun. Wallace said the kid was threatening to bring it to school and shoot her son.
“If he couldn't get the gun in, then he would sneak in his knives,” said Wallace.
News 9 talked with another parent of a middle school student, who says the same kid in the video has been known to talk about a hit list.
“I really want to get out there that something needs to be done about this before it escalates. I feel like if parents catch it in the beginning, something can be done about it,” said Wallace.
This is an ongoing investigation, and News 9 will continue to follow this story.
