The Thunder's two biggest stars did not suit up in OKC's first preseason game. Russell Westbrook's absence no surprise - he's recovering from minor knee surgery. But just before the game, News 9 learned Paul George was unavailable due to personal reasons.
With Russ out, Dennis Schroder saw a lot of minutes. He had 21 points. And Steven Adams had 17, but it wasn’t enough in the end.
Andre Drummond had 31 points and 16 rebounds, and scored the go-ahead points on a three-point play that gave visiting Detroit a 94-91 lead with 1:37 left. Ish Smith's 3-pointer with 17 seconds left capped the scoring.
The Pistons beat Thunder 97-91.
