Herbed Gouda Souffles

  • 1/4 cup and 4 tablespoons grated Parmesan Cheese, divided 
  • 6 eggs, separated 
  • 1/3 cup milk 
  • 6 oz. (3/4 container) PHILADELPHIA Garlic and Herb Cream Cheese, room temperature
  • 1-1/2 cups grated Gouda cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray a 1 1/2 quart tall sided round casserole pan or four ramekins with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Place the four tablespoons in the casserole pan or distribute amongst the four.
  4. Rotate the ramekin to coat the inside of the container with cheese.
  5. Set aside.
  6. Beat the egg whites and cream of tarter till stiff peaks form.
  7. In a blender, place the egg yolk, milk, Parmesan/Gouda cheese, and herbed cream cheese.
  8. Blend on high till the mixture is smooth with no lumps.
  9. Pour the souffle mixture into the prepared containers and bake for 30-35 minutes or until it is puffed and golden brown.
  10. Remove immediately from the oven and serve hot out of the oven.
